Sunday Funday

Tompall is obsessed. Ob. Sess. Ed. He’d eat only Tapioca if he could.

Since we go through so much of it, I decided to make it instead of buying it.

I used this:

And it worked. Of course, I doubled the recipe on the back of the box because I knew we’d go through it quickly, and ended up with four little jam jars filled with Tapioca.

It’s pretty easy to make, too. You just boil the little Tapioca balls, and then mix in some coconut milk and sugar. I also threw in a bit of shredded coconut just for kicks.

I ended up with this:

That’s Emma, trying to figure out what on earth is in that jar.

Tompall hasn’t woken up yet from his Sunday mid-afternoon nap to be my official taste-tester, so I’ll have to let you know how that goes. I’ve never made Tapioca before, so this was an experiment. Maybe some things are just meant to be bought?

Who am I?

Awww hell…I don’t know! My name isn’t really Bonnie, it’s Sarah.

Hi!

That’s Tompall beside me. His name isn’t really Clyde. His middle name isn’t Clyde either. It’s Harry.

So why Bonnie and Clyde? Long story. I’ll have to tell you later. The short of it is that I’m in love with the romantic notion of wild adventures and notorious rule-breaking with the person you love.

But remind me to tell you the long story, because it’s good. It’s got fear, joy, tears, laughter, and an ending that’ll warm your heart. It involves these two nuggets:

They’re the real Bonnie and Clyde, a.k.a. Emma and Chico. I’m obsessed. I take pictures daily. Hourly.

Well, we all live here in Austin, Texas, and do our best to cook up as much trouble as we can. I cook, eat, run, bike, study, (oh yeah, did I mention I’m a law student?) and travel. Sometimes all in one day!

I’m looking forward to telling my stories…I think I’ve got some good ones.
